Quinten is a prominent figure in the Benelux YouTube scene, known for crafting content that captures clicks and drives views. Under his brand 'New Folder', he produces some of the most realistic and trend-setting thumbnails on the platform. Based in The Hague, Quinten has been collaborating with major clients since 2020, shaping the visual identity of top channels.
Quinten was looking for a platform to showcase his work, partners, and socials, but he didn’t want 'just a website'. He needed one that delivers a WOW-effect while keeping usability and engagement as top priorities. The goal is a visually striking, highly interactive platform that captures attention and reflects his brand’s personality. Success will be measured by how well it engages visitors and highlights his creative work. The design also had to be brought to life through web development.

Project
My interpretation
Beyond a regular UX/UI assignment, this project focused on building a platform that reflects Quinten’s brand and engages visitors effectively. Serving as both UX/UI designer and web developer, I crafted the interface and implemented it, bridging design vision with functional execution.
Challenge
The challenge of this project went beyond designing a website. Collaborating with another designer can be very powerful, but without clear boundaries, personal preferences can overshadow usability.
Quinten wanted to showcase as many thumbnails as possible but had no clear vision, so the project started completely from scratch. This required creativity, careful planning, and experimentation. Balancing the large volume of thumbnails with clarity and usability was a key focus, ensuring the platform remained engaging and flexible for future growth.
Working with Framer for the first time was also a great opportunity to expand my skillset.
Outcome
The project was a full end-to-end design and development experience, translating Quinten’s brand into a highly interactive web platform. As UX/UI designer and web developer, I conceptualized the interface, defined the user flow, and brought the visuals to life through code. Multiple dynamic elements were implemented in Framer, including interactive thumbnails, animated transitions, and responsive components that enhance engagement without compromising usability.
I balanced visual impact with clarity to showcase a large volume of thumbnails while keeping the platform intuitive and easy to navigate. Starting from scratch and collaborating with another designer refined my approach to user-centered design, experimentation, and creative problem-solving. The result is a visually striking, fully functional live site that reflects Quinten’s personality and creative vision.
